Place Showroom is seeking a driven sales assistant to join our sales team. We’re a full service wholesale women's apparel showroom for leading contemporary and emerging brands.
 
As a representative of Place Showroom, the ideal candidate is outgoing with high energy that thrives in a fast pace work environment. Excellent communication and presentation skills and confident with cold calls and building new relationships. Time management and ability to prioritize tasks timely to achieve deadlines with high volume workload. 
 
The candidate must possess strong written and organization skills and perform well under pressure. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to PO processing from order order entry to shipment tracking. Proficient in excel, complete all retailer templates needed for EDI submission and com copy. The candidate shall participate in trade shows and markets throughout the East Coast. The candidate will participate in product knowledge seminars with Place's brands and on occasion conduct product knowledge seminars at our retailers.

Responsibilities

  • Account analysis
  • Scheduling and multi-tasking
  • Appointment preparation and showroom floor merchandising
  • Preparing for road an in-person appointments
  • Liaison between Accounts and Account Executive
  • Manage and analyze selling reports
  • Process orders and other general account management
  • Sample coordination for com buys, coop and editorial features
  • .com product audits: ensuring styles go live online timely and all style information and photography is accurate and at brand standard
  • Administrative ownership – managing on order documents, PO tracking and shipment logs, maintaining updated account information on internal database

Qualifications

  • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Customer-service oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient on a Mac computer
  • Must be able to travel to trade shows as necessary
  •  
  • Salary: $25-30/hr, commensurate with experience
