We are looking for a Sales Assistant to support the SVP and Sales team in executing sales plans for specialty retail and brand customers, focusing on enhancing relationships and driving repeat business. The position involves working with the Key Account Manager to support annual sales strategies, implementing sales policies, and coordinating communication to align with the sales plan and budget. Additionally, the role includes recommending sales strategies based on market research, performing administrative duties, and ensuring optimal customer service in collaboration with Marketing, Planning, and Operations teams. Ideal candidates will have a passion for beauty, strong problem-solving and organizational skills, and possess a degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. Strong proficiency in Excel, high attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment are essential. 

The Sales Assistant reports into the Key Account Manager Sales. The role is based in NYC and you will be expected in office a 3 days a week, at minimum per Company policy. 

Responsibilities  

  • Working closely with Key Account Manager - Sales and team, supports the annual sales plan within the organizational strategy and objectives. 
  • Assists with implementation and execution of sales policies and practices. 
  • Ensures communications are coordinated and support sales plan objectives and meet organizational expenditure requirements in conjunction with CMO. 
  • Recommends sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned, including managing messenger/fed ex/ reports as requested and other sundry duties 
  • Work closely with Marketing/Planning/Operations to ensure optimum customer service 

Qualifications  

  • 1-2+ years of experience supporting a Sales organization 
  • Thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast moving environment. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing or related field. 
  • Planning: an ability to think ahead 
  • Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. 
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level. 
  • Strong customer orientation. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Commitment to company values. 
  • Excellent Excel Skills 

What We Offer  

$70K/yr - $80K/yr. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for participation in a discretionary bonus plan based on individual and company performance.
