Primary Market
Sales Liaison for White Cube artists/estates
You will be expected to be Sales Liaison for some of the represented artists/estates including:
- Working in consultation with the Artist Liaison (AL) to build and maintain relationships with White Cube artists and their studios.
- Gaining in depth knowledge of the selected artists and become a resource to the sales team.
- Developing and proposing strategies in co-operation with AL for increasing the market for selected artists.
- Championing and driving sales within the team for selected artists, including:
- Working with the AL to obtain inventory for consignment to the gallery.
- Overseeing pricing of selected White Cube artists.
Primary Sales
- Build and maintain a specialist knowledge of White Cube’s artists including their oeuvre, exhibition history, collector base and public collection placement.
- Drive sales for a designated set of clients via exhibitions, private sales and art fairs and consistently achieve or exceed a yearly target of primary sales.
- Sell across the full inventory, price points and artistic genres.
- Create a sales strategy for exhibitions, matching clients’ requests with available works.
- You will attend and contribute to the regular Primary sales team meetings and comply with White Cube general sales and client policies.
Individual Primary Sales
- Work strategically with colleagues in the Curatorial and Sales teams to support White Cube artists and exhibitions.
Secondary Market
Art Fairs & Exhibitions
- Contribute to the Secondary market strategy at White Cube and generate ideas regarding Art Fairs and Exhibitions.
Individual Secondary Sales
- Support the Secondary market Exhibition and Art Fair strategies through sourcing and selling the works available for sales.
- Achieve or exceed a yearly target of secondary sales through sourcing and selling activities.
Client Development
- Nurture relationships with existing client base and develop new clients by pro-actively sourcing new prospects.
- Strategically connect with clients around openings, private views, exhibitions, art fairs and client development trips.
- Participate in initiatives in new territories as agreed.
Art Fair Leadership
The role may be asked to act as Sales Lead for some of the art fairs White Cube attends.
