About the Role

Our Sales Development Representatives help industry professionals grow and manage their businesses through one easy-to-use, SaaS-based solution: Houzz Pro. Our team of SDR’s are often the first people our professionals come in contact with and are one of the main sources that enable our sales team to succeed!

The Houzz University SDR Program offers all-inclusive training designed to prepare you with the best-in-class sales techniques, strategies, and product knowledge to become a top-performing Sales Development Representative. This program combines personal coaching with certifications, along with first-hand experience pitching our products. Upon successful completion of the 12 month Houzz University SDR Program, you will be eligible to interview for a promotion to Sales Representative!  

The expected start date for this role will be June 9, 2025.

What You’ll Do

  • Contact via phone and email the Houzz professional community as well as home professionals not yet on the Houzz Pro platform 
  • Educate remodeling, design and service professionals on the Houzz Pro platform while building value around our Houzz local marketing opportunities 
  • Qualify all sales leads based upon specific lead qualification criteria 
  • Schedule calls between Houzz professionals and our SaaS Sales Representatives 
  • Assist Houzz professionals with creating free professional profiles 
  • Develop superior customer service relationship with generated leads and prospects

  • Previous experience directly interacting with customers/clients

  • Team player - you enjoy working within a team environment in order to achieve shared goals

Ideally, You'll Also Have

  • 1 year of experience working in Inside Sales, Retail Sales, Customer Service, Call Center, Management Trainee, or Restaurant/Hospitality is preferred
  • Undergraduate degree is preferred but not required

Compensation, Benefits and Perks

This role offers an hourly base pay rate plus uncapped variable pay based on business metrics and individual performance. The average Sales Development Representative earns $50,000 - $70,000 per year based on location, hours worked, and overall performance against metrics. For California, Washington, and Oregon, the base pay rate is $20.04 per hour, and for all other locations, the base pay rate is $18.16 per hour.
