Backed by top investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Bill Ackmann, and Kindred Ventures, Heron Finance is unlocking the power of private markets. For decades, private markets have been the secret weapon of the biggest institutional investors. We believe technology can not only open access to this increasingly important asset class, but create a fundamentally better product—for everyone.

Our mission is about more than just investing, it's about unlocking potential. We envision a future system where anyone with a great idea can access the capital they need, and where any investor can participate, supporting that growth and sharing in its success.

We’re looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) who’s excited to start or grow their career in tech sales. You don’t need years of experience—we’ll teach you the tools, techniques, and strategies. What we do need is energy, curiosity, and the drive to learn.

As an SDR at Heron, you’ll be on the front lines reaching out to potential customers, learning the ropes of fintech sales, and helping us grow our impact across the lending industry.

This role is full time, preferably located in the Bay Area. Open to remote for the right candidate.

What you’ll be doing (i.e. job duties):

  • Research and identify potential small RIA clients
  • Reach out to prospects via email, phone, and LinkedIn to introduce Heron
  • Qualify leads and set up meetings for the Business Development Manager
  • Learn how to use tools like our CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and more
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to improve outreach strategy
  • Gain hands-on experience in sales while learning about fintech

What we look for in you (i.e. job requirements):

  • 2+ Years of relevant fintech or financial products sales experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude, high energy, and a desire to learn
  • Comfortable reaching out to new people and starting conversations
  • Organized and reliable with good time management
  • Interest in startups, technology, and/or financial services
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Nice to Haves

  • Internship or work experience in sales, customer service, or marketing
  • Familiarity with CRMs like HubSpot or Salesforce
  • Interest in fintech, small business lending, or SaaS

Why Join Heron?

  • Competitive salary and equity package
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Flexible remote work culture
  • Team offsites 2-3 times a year

We aim to hire great people from a wide variety of backgrounds - not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because it makes our company stronger.
