Role Overview:
We are seeking a strategic, revenue-driving Sales Director to lead and scale Brand Partnerships in New York. This is a senior, high-impact role responsible for owning a meaningful revenue target, expanding enterprise-level brand relationships, and helping shape the future of RealSelf’s go-to-market strategy. The Sales Director will operate as both a top seller and a commercial leader — driving new business, deepening both agency & client relationships, and influencing packaging, pricing, and partnership innovation. This is a unique opportunity to own the full sales process, from initial outreach to contract closing. You will report to the VP of Brand Partnerships and play a key role in defining how RealSelf grows in 2026 and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue Leadership: Own and deliver against an aggressive annual revenue target. Lead enterprise-level sales efforts across aesthetics, beauty, wellness, and adjacent verticals. Build and maintain a robust pipeline with accurate forecasting and executive visibility.
- Strategic Account Growth: Cultivate and expand relationships with senior brand leaders (CMOs, VPs, founders).Structure multi-quarter, multi-platform partnership agreements. Identify whitespace opportunities across RealSelf’s ecosystem (digital, newsletter, social, experiential etc.).
- Go-to-Market & Commercial Strategy: Partner with leadership to refine pricing, packaging, and sales narratives. Identify new revenue streams and industry categories for expansion while being creative and tactical in your sales solutions and approach.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with Digital, Social & Events teams to ensure seamless execution. Lead high-level RFP strategy and oversee complex custom proposals.
- Industry Presence: Represent RealSelf at industry events, conferences, and client meetings. Position RealSelf as a thought leader in the aesthetics and beauty economy.
Requirements:
- You have a minimum of 7-10 years of full-cycle sales experience in media or a related industry.
- You possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to close six and seven figure deals and renewals.
- You are highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset with experience building or scaling revenue at a high-growth company.
- You can prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with a complex sales cycle.
- Strong forecasting discipline and revenue accountability.
- Deep network within aesthetics, beauty, wellness, or adjacent industries preferred.
- You are NYC-based and able to work in our downtown office 2 days a week.
- Experience with ad platforms and systems such as Google Analytics, Google Ad Manager, and Salesforce is a plus.
