What we're looking for

Rain is looking for a Sales Engineer, in this role, you’ll work closely with our business development team, and our engineering team to help prospects deeply understand Rain’s capabilities, scope technical fit, and move quickly from interest to deployment.

This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that blends product knowledge, customer empathy, and communication skills. You’ll be a critical bridge between our customers and our technical roadmap, and will shape how we scale sales engineering as Rain grows.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with Business Development team to lead product demos, build proof-of-concepts, and answer in-depth technical and operational questions from prospects.

  • Serve as the product and infrastructure expert in sales conversations

  • Collaborate with product and engineering to provide structured customer feedback and influence roadmap decisions.

  • Work directly with prospective customers to model integrations

  • Create technical content and resources to enable our Business Development and Customer Support teams, including solution diagrams, data architecture docs, and integration walkthroughs.

What you will bring to Rain

  • 3+ years as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or Implementation Specialist at a fast-growing SaaS company.

  • You’re comfortable explaining complex products to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • You love working directly with customers and solving real business problems through software.

  • You have experience integrating with financial systems

  • You thrive in early-stage environments where you can build processes from scratch.

Desirable but not mandatory

  • Experience with Enterprise Sales

  • Experience working in fintech or with financial data pipelines.

  • Familiarity with CRMs like Hubspot.

Compensation will vary based on experience from $65,000-$130,000
