Summary
The National Sales Executive, CES Corporate Solutions Group, is a strategic growth leader responsible for developing and expanding national account relationships across a multi-market landscape. This role drives long-term revenue by positioning City Electric Supply as a preferred partner for enterprise and multi-location customers.
Operating at both a strategic and execution level, this individual engages with executive stakeholders to influence early-stage opportunities, align solutions to business objectives, and drive consistency across a national footprint.
As a central connector between customers and the CES network, the National Sales Executive ensures alignment across branches, partners, and fulfillment teams—delivering a unified, high-quality experience at scale. This role plays a key part in shaping go-to-market strategy, strengthening partner ecosystems, and advancing the Corporate Solutions Group’s national presence.
Essential Job Functions
- Lead national account development by identifying, pursuing, and expanding opportunities across multi-location customers
- Drive strategic revenue growth by aligning CES capabilities with customer business objectives across regions and verticals
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships within corporate customer organizations
- Establish and grow a network of strategic partners, including architects, developers, design and engineering firms, and manufacturers
- Influence projects in the preconstruction phase, positioning CES for specification and long-term programmatic work
- Coordinate across CES branches and fulfillment centers to ensure consistent execution and service delivery nationwide
- Travel as required to support national account engagement and business development efforts
Compensation & Structure
- Car allowance provided
- Participation in performance-based incentive plans aligned with revenue and growth objectives
Education & Experience
- Demonstrated success in national or enterprise-level sales, managing complex, multi-location accounts
- Experience in electrical, lighting, controls, or related industries preferred
- Strong track record of influencing and closing strategic opportunities across long sales cycles
- Established network within target verticals or ability to quickly build one

- Executive presence with strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to navigate complex organizations and align multiple stakeholders
- Proficient in CRM and digital tools to manage national pipelines and forecasting

Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. This position requires regular communication, as well as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting items up to 50 pounds as needed.
Travel
Travel is primarily regional during the business week, with out-of-area and overnight travel required.
