Scaler is seeking a Business Development Manager to continue driving business growth by owning and advancing qualified opportunities through the full sales cycle. In this role, you will engage directly with prospective clients, lead discovery and solution discussions, and convert opportunities into long-term customer relationships.
You will work closely with Account Operations and the wider commercial team to execute go-to-market strategies, manage a healthy pipeline, and deliver value-driven sales outcomes. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, a strong consultative selling approach, and the ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Own and manage the full sales cycle, from discovery through close
Engage directly with prospective customers, leading discovery, qualification, and solution discussions
Deliver tailored product demonstrations and commercial proposals aligned with customer business needs
Build and maintain a strong pipeline, consistently working towards revenue targets
Identify and attend relevant industry conferences and events to build relationships, strengthen market presence, and support pipeline development
Partner with account management to ensure effective lead handover and account progression
Prepare proposals, pricing, and responses to RFPs and tenders
Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and reporting in CRM systems
Stay informed on relevant market, regulatory, and industry developments
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience selling into real estate, investment management, sustainability, or sustainability-related markets is strongly preferred
Candidates should ideally bring hands-on experience with sustainability initiatives in real estate investment management, along with established networks across large private equity firms or REITs
Comfortable working in a fluid, start-up style environment that requires taking initiative
Proven ability to close mid-market deals and manage multiple opportunities in parallel
Strong consultative selling and stakeholder management skills
Comfortable engaging senior decision-makers across finance, operations, compliance, or sustainability-related functions.
Excellent written and spoken English
