Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

  • Drive revenue by monetizing logos, award emblems, and accolade-related content across Hearst brands
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective licensing partners
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by monitoring market trends and uncovering whitespace
  • Track RSS feeds and editorial outputs to identify timely, sellable licensing opportunities
  • Develop deep expertise in your sales vertical, including market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with editorial, marketing, sales, and legal teams to execute licensing initiatives
  • Manage licensing agreements, including drafting, modifying, and processing contracts and invoices
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, including leads, renewals, and transactions, while ensuring efficient execution

Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)

  • 2+ years of experience in sales, or equivalent experience
  • Experience or familiarity with logo or content licensing is preferred
  • Strong business judgment with the ability to evaluate opportunities and make informed decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting partnerships
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort working across systems and tools
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • This role is based in New York, NY with a hybrid schedule (4 days per week in-office)

Compensation & EEO
The base salary for this role is $88,000–$100,000. This role may also be eligible for performance-based incentives and additional compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
