Our Trading Solutions business delivers cutting-edge tools and workflows that empower buy-side and sell-side firms to execute more efficiently, manage risk, and drive better investment outcomes. As we continue to grow our presence across the Americas, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced sales leader to help drive the next phase of our commercial success.

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Manager – Americas Trading Solutions to lead and grow our trading-focused sales efforts across the region. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building and nurturing deep client relationships, and collaborating cross-functionally with product, marketing, and client solutions teams to position FactSet as the premier partner for trading workflows across the Americas.

What You'll Do

Sales Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive, data-driven sales plan tailored to both key client types (buy-side and sell-side) and the specific workflows they rely on, including order management, execution management, pre- and post-trade analytics, and compliance

  • Own and be accountable for achieving and exceeding regional revenue targets, including new business, renewals, and upsell/cross-sell opportunities

  • Act as a true player/coach — leading by example by managing your own pipeline and deals while simultaneously mentoring, motivating, and developing the broader sales team

  • Define territory strategies, account prioritization, and go-to-market approaches that maximize growth opportunities across the Americas

Client & Prospect Engagement

  • Leverage an established network of industry relationships to open doors, generate pipeline, and accelerate deal cycles

  • Foster long-term, consultative relationships with key clients and strategic prospects at all levels, including C-suite, trading desk heads, portfolio managers, and technology officers

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by deeply understanding their trading workflows and business challenges, and mapping FactSet solutions to their needs

  • Represent FactSet at industry conferences, client events, and forums to strengthen brand visibility and expand the company's network across the Americas

Team Development

  • Provide hands-on coaching, mentorship, and performance management to a team of sales professionals

  • Collaborate with sales leadership to set team goals, track progress, and implement best practices that drive consistent performance

  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and client-centric team culture

Product & Market Intelligence

  • Act as a key voice of the market by providing actionable guidance to the product team on where to focus development efforts, based on client feedback, competitive intelligence, and evolving industry trends

  • Partner closely with product management, product marketing, and client solutions to ensure that FactSet's trading solutions roadmap aligns with real-world client needs and market opportunities

  • Stay ahead of industry developments, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics to inform both sales strategy and product positioning

What We're Looking For

Experience & Background

  • 10+ years of experience in the trading industry, with a strong understanding of buy-side and/or sell-side trading workflows, technology ecosystems, and market structure

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in a complex, solutions-based sales environment

  • Prior experience in sales leadership, team lead, or player/coach capacity is strongly preferred

  • Experience selling financial technology, data, or analytics solutions is highly desirable

  • Deep and well-established network of contacts across the Americas trading community, including hedge funds, asset managers, broker-dealers, and other institutional participants

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills are a natural connector who earns trust quickly and maintains it over the long term

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to build and execute a structured sales plan while remaining adaptable in a fast-moving market

  • Demonstrated leadership ability with a passion for developing talent and building high-performing teams

  • Highly collaborative, with experience working cross-functionally across sales, product, marketing, and client services

  • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn quickly — comfortable developing deep expertise in FactSet's trading solutions and staying current as the product evolves
