Voltus is growing rapidly, and we see Sales Productivity as a critical role to capitalize on that growth. We are looking for someone to proactively partner with sales leaders and their teams to drive efficiency and productivity in both day-to-day and strategic tasks. The primary purpose of this role is to act as the leading edge of growth across the sales organization by maximizing sales team productivity at scale. We do this through innovative solutioning, best-in-class activation, strategic thought partnership, and consistent high standards of execution. This is a fully remote position that offers a high degree of autonomy.

We're looking for people who don't just execute on a project, but who define and own it independently, and who bring new ideas rather than replicate what's already been done. This team is meant to be an innovation engine for Sales, and we want people who think that way.

Sales Productivity Specialist Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive key business outcomes and sales metrics that matter by developing and implementing best-in-class activation strategies such as lead list segmentation, process and tool adoption, change management, information cascade, ad hoc trainings, etc.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on our sales process, approach, and industry to make recommendations with authority
  • Lead as an owner of your relevant markets and teams to develop team strategy as a thought partner to your Sales Leaders, and deliver on that strategy
  • Maniacally focus on proactively identifying gaps or opportunities for sales productivity improvements in collaboration with Sales leaders, including through observation of sales successes and shortfalls, analyzing sales performance metrics, conferring with stakeholders, and acting on team feedback
  • Seek out cross-functional collaboration opportunities across Sales, Sales Operations, and other teams (e.g., Product, Engineering, Customer Experience, Marketing, Legal)
  • Translate technical needs and solutions into broadly applicable, scalable, and productable solutions that enable better self-service by the sales team and/or customers
  • Serve as a conduit between the sales team and subject matter experts in other parts of the organization (e.g., systems and energy markets teams) by triaging Sales team needs that require involvement from beyond the Sales Productivity function
  • Provide ad-hoc coaching for sales team members where necessary (e.g., use of tools)
  • Implement and improve upon deal data quality processes

Sales Productivity Skills and Qualifications

  • First-hand experience in B2B sales, sales development, or another customer-facing sales role — we especially value people who've carried a number themselves and bring that perspective to how we support the team
  • Maniacally self-initiated; extreme attention to detail
  • Creative, cross-organizational problem solver
  • Adept at interfacing and translating between sales, product, engineering, marketing, and more
  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of owning and defining projects independently, not just executing against someone else's plan
  • Experience with change management and activation best practices
  • Comfort working within a CRM system (Salesforce experience a plus, but not required)
  • Excel wizard required; Python or SQL a bonus
  • Analytical and process-oriented mindset
  • Aligned with our company values: Bright, Gritty, and Good
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and situations
  • MBA preferred

Please note that at this time, we do not sponsor visas or transfers. Voltus teammates need to be authorized to work from their home location (in the US or Canada, unless otherwise indicated on the role description).

Additionally, while Voltus is an all-remote workplace, we have limitations on where employees are able to work for regulatory and security reasons. We expect that Voltans are working primarily from their home country. Working while traveling to other countries must be approved as per our Global Remote Travel Policy.

At Voltus, we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer because we recognize that a diverse organization begins with a diverse candidate pool. This means we do not tolerate discrimination of any kind and are committed to providing equal employment opportunities regardless of your gender identity, race, nationality, religion, age, sexual orientation, veteran status, disability status, or marital status.
