The Sales Representative will exceed sales goals, manage customer relationships, identify market trends, and provide product assistance and technical support.

Responsibilities:- Meet or exceed division’s average selling prices in the core product lines to maintain profitability levels.
- Identify and communicate industry trends, territory activities, competitive activity, and customer requirements to ensure that Chem-Trend can meet or exceed expectations within the industry segment and other new markets. Prepare timely written and verbal reports.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with customers through regular contact with decision-makers, corporate management, and influential personnel at any level. Maintain Chem-Trend’s image of supporting the product after the sale through excellent customer service.
- Sell all assigned product lines to customers to secure marketplace position. Utilize purchase agreements and long-term contracts to prevent competitors from selling low- margin products and placing profitable products at risk. Diffuse competitive threats at key accounts with a sense of urgency.
- Assist customers in their efforts to be cost-effective, using effective value-added selling techniques to outline the benefits of our products.
- Provide technical assistance to customers and troubleshoot product and process issues.
- Conduct product trials for new product developments and provide feedback to the technical staff and the laboratory.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Science, or related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the chemical specialty field
- 5+ years of experience in value selling
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership or competitive function
