If you’re passionate about global currency markets and eager to explore a career in FX, our entry‑level rotational program is designed to help you turn that interest into impact.
Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting for our 18-month Sales & Trading Rotational program. This is an exciting opportunity to join a program designed to provide foundational education and hands-on experience across our FX business.
Over the course of three 6-month rotations, analysts will gain exposure to a range of functions within FX, which may include Trading, Relationship Management, and Product Strategy. The program is structured to build a strong understanding of global financial markets and the macroeconomic, monetary, and geopolitical factors that influence foreign exchange rates and volatility.
The Sales & Trading FX Rotational Program is intended to develop future talent within the business. Upon successful completion of the program, and based on individual performance and business needs, analysts may be considered for full-time opportunities within FX.
BBH specializes in delivering operational and strategic FX solutions to global asset managers. Our offerings include automated FX trading solutions for security and corporate action related FX, currency hedging, and active execution. Our goal is to provide every client with an effective, transparent, and comprehensive FX program which is supported by dedicated relationship management and product teams.
This program is suited for individuals with a strong interest in financial markets who are looking to learn in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.
Examples of potential rotations, and areas of responsibility you may take on with each:
- Product Development – Support development of requirements, testing and implementation of new features and functionality across our product suite.
- Sales Trading/Relationship Management – Collaborate with the sales and trading desk to support client engagement and execution activities, with exposure to the markets, pricing, and liquidity.
- Data & Analytics - Proactively utilize and produce data visualizations, analytics, and TCA to identify trends and opportunities for client discussions and enhancements.
- E-Trading and Trading - Gain exposure to electronic market making and hedging, help to build pricing analytics, learn about the FX market and managing trading exposure.
- Client Onboarding- Facilitate new client onboards working closely with Legal, Risk and Compliance.
- Emerging Markets - Help our clients navigate the foreign exchange complexities involved in investing restricted markets. Learn the nuances involved in trading these currencies.
- Currency Administration - Partner with our currency administration team to support our clients share class and portfolio hedging needs.
- Business Development — Assist in the facilitation and identification of sales opportunities and onboarding efforts across all FX products.
Desired Skills:
- Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify, recommend and implement solutions.
- Experience working with and analyzing large data sets.
- Preferred familiarity with Python / SQL.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while possessing an eye for detail.
- Strong interest in international currency markets, including impact of economic and political factors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations.
- Self-motivation, time management, and an ability to clearly interpret complex scenarios are critical in this role.

Salary Range
NY: $80,000 - $100,000 plus annual bonus target

The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
