Is This Role Right for Me?

Our Bank Relationship Manager will be the key player managing small business owner relationships and helping prepare their loan applications for Fundera’s bank partners. If you’re interested in the position, here are a few things you’ll get to do and the qualifications we think will make someone most successful in this role.

As Bank Relationship Manager, You’ll...

  • Be a coach for small business owners seeking bank loans, while guiding them through the bank funding process
  • Liaise with bank lender partners and internal stakeholders, including Sales, Operations and Product, to provide strategic insights and improve the bank lending operation and optimize across Product & Process for frictionless bank fundings
  • Manage & maintain Fundera’s bank pipeline to ensure high velocity and an efficient funding process for customers
  • Be a trusted resource internally to the Fundera sales team to demonstrate deep understanding of the bank loan process
  • Audit borrower applications and documents to ensure completeness and compliance with bank requirements

We’re Looking for People Who Have...

  • Exceptional communication skills and can build rapport with customers, bank partners, and internal team members early and often
  • An especially high level of attention to detail, and understand that the little things matter
  • Meticulous organization and can effectively prioritize multiple customers’ requests at once
  • The ability to utilize resources, such as existing bank lenders, lending guides, and team members to get answers to tough questions
  • Intellectual curiosity and are interested in understanding the “why” behind bank requirements and business processes in order to make suggestions for continuous improvement
  • The ability to work quickly and understand the intricacies of lender processes, moving with urgency to get customers funded as quickly as possible
  • 1+ years of client-facing experience through sales, relationship management, or lending/credit roles; experience with banking or lending is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Apps

What Will I Get Out of the Role?

You’ll grow to become a trusted relationship manager for small business owners throughout the United States, while learning the intricacies of bank lending, and requirements of our lender partners. You’ll also find opportunities to provide strategic insights to the Fundera Product, Operations, and Sales organizations to increase process efficiencies and improve our bank platform. In addition, by nailing the core outcomes of this role, and demonstrating thought leadership throughout the bank platform, you’ll have the opportunity to potentially grow into a future manager within the Fundera bank platform.
