Why are we hiring this role?
2019 has been a year of tremendous growth and validation for our Product/Market fit. As a result, we have aggressive growth plans for 2020 and are looking to add a leader to build our east coast sales team. Over the past several months the volume of leads being produced by Marketing has surpassed our sales capacity. In parallel we launched an outbound program which is also exceeding expectations. We have been covering the Northeast from San Francisco and believe that by investing in an east coast sales team, we will see dramatic results both on the east coast and in our support of Europe.
As a Regional VP for Northeast Sales at Nylas, you will leverage your experience as a leader to build out and develop top Sales talent in our NYC office, as we continue to fuel our hiring and growth projections.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • You are someone passionate about sales, have been a part of a fast-growing B2B SaaS sales team, and at one point, have been a sales rep yourself. 
  • Data driven leader that leverages a sales management system to evaluate performance and communicate results.
  • Responsible for top-line revenue goals being met. 
  • Experience in rapidly growing a sales team in a SaaS org.
  • Strong mentor for the sales team, willing to work with AEs individually to go through their pipeline and identify strengths and weaknesses and coach to improvement. 
  • Embraces sales process and adherence to sales process.
  • Willing trainer of all best practices and materials produced by sales and marketing leadership.
  • Clearly articulate sales territories, quotas, and goals to the team and drive a performance culture. 
  • Meets with key clients, assist sales representatives with maintaining relationships, negotiating, and closing deals. 
  • Understands prospects business needs to effectively deliver Nylas' value proposition at the executive level.
  • Work closely with marketing to align marketing and sales goals.
  • 8+ years in B2B/ Enterprise/ SaaS experience
  • Previously managed a small team to higher growth
  • Demonstrable ability to recruit high caliber talent
  • Proven track record of hitting numbers, exceeding goals
  • Experience working with marketing to align and strengthen sales strategies and goals
