Role Description:

Our growing company is looking to hire a Sales & Business Development Team Lead who will be responsible for supervising and organizing our sales team, as well as actively contributing to outbound sales efforts. You will be in charge of managing organizational sales by developing business plans and outbound sales strategies, innovating lead generation strategies, and meeting planned goals and targets. You will be tasked with overseeing the activities and performance of your sales team by tracking monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals, setting individual sales targets, and facilitating the ongoing training of your sales people. In addition, you will be expected to actively pitch high profile clients. Our Sales & Business Development team are the front-lines of ArtBinder’s acquisitions, and are a critical part of our client-facing service. Important skills will include knowledge of the art world, experience with SaaS sales, and an affinity for relationship-building to help expand ArtBinder’s client base and public visibility.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage organizational sales by developing a business plan that addresses expected sales numbers, revenue/ARR, and expense controls.

  • Set informed and realistic sales goals, and meet them on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

  • Track sales goals and report results as necessary (e.g., number of leads and clients, expected and real recurring revenue, conversion, retention, and renewal statistics, etc.)

  • Sustain an ongoing and personalized sales outreach strategy (via email, phone, and pitching at art fairs) to high profile potential clients.

    • This role is expected to close sales deals in addition to team management and strategy setting.

  • Oversee the activities and performance of the sales team, and provide ongoing training and mentorship.

  • Contribute to relevant sales collateral, demo scripts, email campaigns etc.

  • Understand our ideal customer and how they relate to our products.

  • Attend some local and international art fairs to connect with potential new clients and positively represent ArtBinder brand at industry-wide events.

 

Skills and Requirements:

  • Proactive and self-starting, willingness to work hard and take on additional responsibilities as they arise.

  • Exceptional writing ability, phone and in-person communication, focused on relationship-building and networking.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize; strong organization and project management skills.

  • Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.

  • Experience in customer relationship management.

  • Team leadership experience a plus.

  • Interest in and ability to quickly learn software and mobile platforms.

  • 4+ years in relevant Sales and/or Business Development work; Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • Bonus qualities: experience with Hubspot; direct art world experience and/or knowledge of contemporary art market; direct SaaS sales experience; foreign language skills
