VP, East and Midwest Sales
Position Summary:
VICE Media seeks a Vice President, East & Midwest, with demonstrated sales, negotiation, analytical skills, excellent communication, interpersonal skills, strategic prowess & a collegial-working management style. The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of business development, advertising sales and management experience in a leading media (including TV), agency or consumer technology environments. We are seeking an individual who has strong networks with agencies as well as mid-size and larger corporates across sectors. S/he will have a demonstrated track record of growing highly effective revenue organizations, helping companies expand into new markets & achieve scale, through partnerships, organic growth & new products. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion & curiosity for media & its evolution as well as the Vice brand. S/he will have a proven track record of success in training, developing & quickly scaling a best in class salesforce. They will have a team first mentality, excel in building strong interpersonal relationships & collaborating effectively across the organization.
Position Requirements
- Must have significant years of sales and management experience at a leading media (including TV), content-rich or high online engagement consumer services business unit
- Expertise in relationship & data centric revenue generation & traffic acquisition/generation
- Innovator in business strategies with track record of leading on innovative monetization schemes as opposed to follower
- Ability to ‘take the (cross-functional) team along
- Sold range of digital ad products including display, premium, video, native/branded & programmatic
- Worked at comparable digital video company
- Experience with transforming & growing salesforces

The candidate will have demonstrated a team approach to solving problems with peers as well as using external networks to gain market access.
Key Accountabilities
- Work directly with the global and domestic management on new revenue opportunities
- Significantly grow advertising sales revenue for VICE Media across
domestic and global. - Lead sales efforts towards brands & agencies (create new ways to increase profitable business growth with other media companies & most importantly
leading distribution, platform, traffic & advertising partners) - Establish strong relationships with clients & agency teams both
domestic and global - Innovate with brands & agencies on new ventures
- Prioritize sales growth while supporting the creation of the
right culture within the revenue organization - Partner with ad operations, creative services & other colleagues
