Our client, a global fresh produce distributor, seeks a SAP Finance and Controlling Workstream Lead, which involves taking end-to-end ownership of a global SAP Finance and Controlling workstream. This is a hands-on leadership and coordination role, requiring the candidate to drive activities forward, coordinate across multiple countries and stakeholders, and ensure timely delivery of information, decisions, and deliverables.

This is a 6-month contractual position, with the potential to covert to a Full-Time Employee. Candidates must be located in the EST or CT timezone, and be willing to work EST hours.

The Role:
  • Take end-to-end ownership of the SAP Finance / Controlling workstream and actively drive it forward.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of approximately six resources.
  • Proactively engage Controllers, Finance Managers, country teams, and other stakeholders to collect required information and requirements.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple countries, business units, and time zones.
  • Drive stakeholders for responses, decisions, approvals, and outstanding deliverables.
  • Establish clear actions, owners, deadlines, and follow-ups and ensure commitments are completed.
  • Lead working sessions, requirements discussions, status meetings, and cross-country coordination calls.
  • Identify gaps, blockers, risks, and dependencies early and actively drive them toward resolution.
  • Consolidate requirements and inputs from different countries into a clear, structured view for the SAP program.
  • Serve as the primary coordination point between Finance stakeholders, country teams, and the broader SAP team.
  • Provide regular, concise reporting on progress, risks, outstanding decisions, and next steps.


Requirements
  • Strong SAP background, particularly within SAP Finance and Controlling (FI/CO).
  • Experience leading a significant SAP Finance, Controlling, or global workstream.
  • Demonstrated ability to run independently and drive complex initiatives.
  • Strong experience coordinating stakeholders across multiple countries or regions.
  • Comfortable working directly with Controllers, Finance Managers, and senior business stakeholders.
  • Strong follow-up, organization, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Confident communicator who is comfortable challenging stakeholders, escalating blockers, and driving accountability.
  • Must be located in the USA EST or Central time zone and willing to work in EST.
Preferred Qualifications.
  • SAP S/4HANA experience is strongly preferred
