Job Description

CSCI Consulting is seeking an SAP Funds Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a multi‑year Federal ERP modernization program. This effort consolidates four SAP ECC systems into a single composable ERP platform and migrates existing capabilities into a unified SAP S/4HANA transactional core using industry‑standard tools such as SNP CrystalBridge. The consultant will provide deep SAP Public Sector Finance expertise, with a focus on Funds Management (FM), and ensure seamless integration with related financial modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Asset Accounting. The role includes designing FM structures, enabling budget control across fund, funds center, and commitment item hierarchies, and supporting end‑to‑end migration, testing, and solution design activities.

Responsibilities
  • Gather and document functional requirements and design SAP FM solutions to meet business needs
  • Lead and facilitate interactions with technical teams to ensure technical solutions align with functional requirements
  • Develop test strategies and manage large, complex test cycles across multiple workstreams
  • Conduct business process design sessions and perform detailed system analysis
  • Coordinate across architects, developers, BASIS, middleware, portal teams, and business analysts to support integrated solution delivery
  • Maintain, enhance, and develop SAP modules, including interfaces with external applications
  • Decompose requirements and lead complex, interactive solutioning workshops with client stakeholders
  • Provide short‑term and long‑term strategic recommendations aligned with client goals and develop tactical roadmaps
  • Apply in‑depth knowledge of industry best practices to guide solution design
  • Operate within Agile delivery frameworks; obtain SAFe certification within 60 days of onboarding if not already certified
Minimum Requirements
  • 10+ years of SAP ECC Finance experience
  • Secret clearance eligibility
  • Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
  • Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional presence
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with SAP Public Sector Finance / Funds Management
  • Experience with S/4HANA
  • Experience with ECC‑to‑S/4HANA migration projects using tools such as SNP CrystalBridge or SAP DMLT
  • Relevant SAP certifications
  • Experience supporting Federal ERP or financial modernization initiatives
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
  • Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
  • Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
  • Past experience working with a Federal agency
  • Department of War experience is a plus!
