The First Officer assists the Captain in flight operations, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations, and supports the clinical team with process improvements.
The First Officer will be responsible for assisting the Captain in all aspects of flight operations of the assigned aircraft for the planned route of flight to include aircraft airworthiness, weight and balance, and on time pick-up and delivery of air transported, time sensitive medical cargo.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of each flight assignment.
- Serve as Second-in-Command on a Pilatus PC-24
- Assist the Captain in all phases of flight, including pre-flight planning, in-flight duties, and post-flight procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Company GOM, Operations specifications, LOAs, FAA regulations, Aircraft Flight and Equipment manuals as well as other information required for each flight
- Assists in making recommendations to clinical department or management on process improvement, new processes, tools and techniques, or development of new clinical services
- Assists clinical team members and department or unit management in determining methods and procedures for new tasks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate, required.
- Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine Land and Instrument ratings, required.
- 3-5 years of relevant technical experience, required, inclusive of:
- 1,200 hours minimum flight time
- 500 hours minimum Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time
- 200 hours minimum turbine time
- 100 hours of multi-engine
- Working knowledge of FAA Part 135 and 91 regulations, flight planning software, electronic flight bags (EFB), and Microsoft Office.
