Job summary

The SDLC Transformation Director is a commercially accountable growth leader responsible for building pipeline, winning strategic transformation engagements, expanding enterprise accounts, and achieving revenue and margin objectives across Valiantys’ transformation portfolio. The role combines enterprise sales leadership, market activation, strategic offering enablement, and client delivery excellence.

The Director will own growth across a portfolio of strategic and enterprise accounts, including new-logo acquisition, account expansion, qualified pipeline, pursuit leadership, and client value realization. They will act as a trusted advisor to CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, and SVPs of Engineering.

The successful candidate will be equally comfortable with business executives, sales teams, engineering leaders, enterprise architects, technology partners, and delivery teams. They will translate complex business needs into compelling multi-year transformation roadmaps, differentiated commercial propositions, and measurable outcomes spanning enterprise strategy, SDLC platform modernization, governance, and AI.

What you’ll be working on

    Commercial growth and account leadership
    • Own the SDLC/DevOps transformation portfolio across assigned strategic and enterprise accounts, with accountability for qualified pipeline, bookings, revenue, margin, client outcomes, satisfaction, and growth.

      • Partner with Sales Account Executives to identify, qualify, and prioritize transformation opportunities across strategic and enterprise accounts, including new-logo acquisition and existing-account expansion.

        • Serve as the Transformation Consulting lead from opportunity identification through executive alignment, solution shaping, proposal, negotiation, and close.

          • Co-develop and execute account strategies that expand Valiantys’ footprint across strategy, modernized SDLC platforms, governance, and AI.

          • Strategic offering enablement

            Partner with the Global/North American SDLC Practice leaders to:

            • Identify market needs, client problems, and emerging technologies that should become repeatable Valiantys propositions in SDLC/DevOps transformation.

              • Create clear offer definitions, target audiences, value propositions, delivery approaches, qualification criteria, pricing assumptions, and proof points.

                • Convert successful client work into reusable methods, accelerators, case studies, and expansion plays while mentoring consultants and enabling SDLC/DevOps practice development.

                • Transformation solutions
                  • Co-design and deliver end-to-end transformation frameworks that connect strategy, operating model, governance, processes, technology, organization, adoption, and value realization.

                    • Lead solutioning for complex pursuits and shape engagements spanning business and technology, that expand Valiantys' footprint across SDLC tooling (Atlassian, GitHub/GitLab), platform engineering, AI/Agentic-enabled delivery, DevOps, CI/CD, security, and cloud infrastructure. 

                      • Help clients define practical target states, phased roadmaps, investment cases, governance models, and measurable success criteria.

                        • Engage credibly with technical and business stakeholders while keeping the conversation anchored to business value and outcomes.

                        • Go-to-market
                          • Co-develop and execute a robust go-to-market strategy for the SDLC transformation portfolio in partnership with Sales, Marketing, Practices, regional leadership, and strategic technology partners.

                            • Create repeatable industry, account, and use-case plays.

                              • Equip Account Executives with messaging, discovery questions, qualification guidance, case studies, proposal content, and commercial plays.

                                • Lead executive briefings, client workshops, industry events, thought leadership, QBRs, and joint campaigns that generate qualified demand and position Valiantys as a trusted transformation partner.

                                • Client engagement, delivery, and value realization
                                  • Serve as a trusted advisor to CIOs, CTOs, SVPs of Engineering, and business executives.

                                    • Act as the senior client relationship and value-realization leader, maintaining executive alignment through steering committees, QBRs, and outcome reviews.

                                      • Partner with Engagement Directors, engagement managers, and delivery teams on execution, governance, risks, and escalations, ensuring delivery quality and translating success into account expansion.

                                      • Do you have what it takes to be our new SDLC Transformation Director?
                                        • 10+ years in consulting, professional services, or enterprise technology roles, with at least 5 years in client-facing leadership (Client Partner, Engagement Director, or equivalent), including significant enterprise sales or commercial leadership experience.

                                        • Commercial leadership: experience scaling consulting offerings and GTM plays and leading multi-million-dollar portfolios and complex pursuits in close partnership with Account Executives and delivery leadership.

                                          • SDLC expertise with a proven track record modernizing software delivery lifecycles — requirements, source control, CI/CD, test automation, release management, and value stream metrics. 

                                          • AI-enabled delivery with demonstrated experience embedding AI/LLM capabilities (e.g., code assistants, agentic workflows, AI-driven testing, intelligent ITSM) into enterprise SDLC and DevOps practices.

                                          • DevOps Solution Architect background with hands-on or architectural depth in CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, container platforms (Kubernetes/EKS), IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation), and observability tooling. 

                                          • Leadership and influence: proven ability to develop high-performing teams, align cross-functional stakeholders, communicate with executives, and sell consultatively.

                                            • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.

                                            • Preferred Qualifications
                                              • Experience within the Atlassian ecosystem (DX, Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, TWG/Rovo).

                                              • Active AWS, Azure, or GCP Solutions Architect Professional certification; TOGAF certification

                                                • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), ITIL, SAFe, HashiCorp Cloud Engineer

                                                  • Experience scaling AI platform capabilities (RAG, MCP, agent orchestration) in regulated industries. 

                                                  • Established network within AWS or Azure partner organizations and joint GTM motions

                                                  • Prior P&L ownership in consulting or systems integration is a plus.

                                                  • Location: This role can be located in Canada or in the United States. We offer flexible remote working policy.
