About the Role:
As a Consultant at Cyderes, you will independently conduct vulnerability assessments, interpret scan results, and collaborate with client IT teams to support patching and mitigation efforts. This role involves managing day-to-day vulnerability operations with increasing autonomy in analysis, reporting, and client engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Independently conduct vulnerability assessments across diverse client environments and platforms.
- Analyze scan results, assess risk levels, and provide actionable remediation guidance.
- Collaborate with client IT teams and stakeholders to support patching, mitigation, and clarify findings.
- Deliver high-quality customer engagements, ensuring clear communication, timely delivery, and alignment with client expectations.
- Provide consulting expertise to clients on vulnerability management best practices, threat exposure, and remediation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with SLAs, KPIs, and managed service commitments for MSS deliverables.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of playbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation.
- Support continuous improvement of scanning, reporting, and triage workflows.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of vulnerability management lifecycle and Tanium.
- Hands-on experience with VM platforms and SIEM/ITSM integrations.
- Communication skills to translate technical findings into client-ready outputs.
- 5+ years in cybersecurity consulting.
- One or more relevant certifications (CEH, GSEC, or vendor-specific certification in a VMS product (e.g. Qualys Certified Specialist)).
