About NewGen

At NewGen, we're a global social creative and creator agency made up of over 100 talented people worldwide, with offices in London (UK), Manchester (UK), and New York (USA). We partner with leading brands to shape culture, tell stories that matter, and harness the power of social-first creative and creators to drive meaningful impact.

Founded by our 30-under-30 co-founders, NewGen is an independent agency built to challenge big networks and outdated agency models. We move fast, live social, and believe fresh ideas are the only way to create work people actually care about.

Our work is trusted by some of the world's biggest brands, including Pepsi, Samsung, Amazon, SEGA, and Cash App, as well as culture-defining creators like KSI, Amelia Dimoldenberg, and PewDiePie.

Our Non-Negotiables

  • Energy – Get involved, be heard, and contribute. This isn't a place for coasting.
  • Quality – Everything we create should push boundaries and raise the bar.
  • Collaboration – No egos, no judgment — we win as a team.
  • Creativity – Fresh thinking and bold ideas keep us moving forward.
  • Partnership – Be a trusted, proactive partner to our clients at all times.

Life in the New York Office

Life at our New York office blends start-up energy with the backing of a global agency. Based in the heart of Flatiron, we're a close-knit team building something special. We value curiosity, social fluency, and people who want to grow with us. We work in a hybrid way, with a minimum of three days a week in the office to keep collaboration and creativity at the core of what we do.

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Account Manager to lead and grow key client relationships while driving best-in-class, socially-led work from brief through delivery. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and client partnership, with accountability for quality, timelines, budgets, and team leadership.

As a Senior Account Manager, you'll operate with a high degree of autonomy, acting as a trusted senior point of contact for clients while providing direction and mentorship to junior team members. You'll play a critical role in shaping account strategy, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring NewGen delivers work that is culturally relevant, commercially sound, and creatively ambitious.

What You'll Do

  • Own the day-to-day leadership of assigned accounts, serving as the primary client contact
  • Build and maintain strong, senior-level client relationships rooted in trust, clarity, and partnership
  • Lead social-first campaigns from briefing through delivery, ensuring scope, timelines, budgets, and resourcing are managed effectively
  • Provide strategic input into creative and content development, ensuring work aligns with client objectives and cultural relevance
  • Partner closely with creative, strategy, production, and creator teams to deliver high-quality, on-time work
  • Manage and track account budgets, forecasts, and profitability in collaboration with senior leadership
  • Identify opportunities for organic account growth, expanded scope, and added value
  • Guide and mentor Account Managers and Account Executives, setting standards for excellence and best practices
  • Proactively problem-solve, anticipate client needs, and navigate challenges with confidence and professionalism
  • Contribute to improving internal processes and ways of working as the agency continues to scale

Social-First x Brand Impact

Being socially native is at the heart of everything we do. We don't just "do social" — we live and breathe culture. Success in this role means deeply understanding platforms, creators, trends, and conversations, and translating them into work that feels authentic, bold, and built for the feed.

It's okay to be chronically online.

We'd Love You to Have

  • 6–8+ years of experience managing complex, high-profile, or global client accounts within a fast-paced agency environment
  • Proven ability to lead client relationships independently, serving as a trusted senior partner and day-to-day decision-maker
  • Strong experience owning budgets, scopes, timelines, and forecasts, with confidence managing profitability and resourcing
  • Deep understanding of social-first strategy, platform ecosystems, creator partnerships, and cultural trends
  • Demonstrated experience leading integrated social campaigns from brief to delivery, with accountability for quality and results
  • Ability to identify and drive organic growth opportunities within existing accounts
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior team members, setting standards and guiding best practices
  • Confidence presenting strategic thinking, creative recommendations, and performance insights to senior client stakeholders
  • Strong commercial and strategic mindset, with the ability to connect creative output to measurable business outcomes
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity, managing multiple workstreams, and bringing structure to fast-moving environments
  • Familiarity with influencer marketing, creator partnerships, and content strategy
  • Knowledge of gaming, gaming creators, or entertainment culture (a plus)

Benefits Package

  • Highly competitive 30 days' holiday (excluding Federal Holidays, inclusive of the Reset Policy)
  • Reset Policy – Up to 10 additional non-contractual rest days (subject to policy terms; may be amended or withdrawn)
  • Birthday Leave – An additional paid day off on your birthday
  • December Office Closure – Office closed during the holiday period, outside of standard vacation days
  • Year-End Holiday Shutdown – Company-wide closure; some annual leave may be reserved, with discretionary additional paid leave granted where applicable
  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)
  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
  • Family Leave (Maternity & Paternity)
  • Training & Development opportunities

Salary Range: $90k–$125k
