Role
Reporting to the Manager of Accounting, you’ll have the opportunity to join a dynamic and impactful finance and accounting department that has responsibility for accounting, reporting, treasury, accounts payables, accounts receivables and taxes. This position offers growth potential in a unique role in which you will interact with all areas of the business.
This is a hybrid position (3 days in office per week) based in our NYC office.
Responsibilities
- Support timely completion of month-end close activities including account reconciliations, trend analysis, inter-company and post adjusting journal entries as needed
- Support external auditors and specialists as necessary
- Assist in the preparation of consolidated internal and external financial statements
- Assist with sales and corporate tax compliance
- Help ensure overall compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Drive process improvement and automate manual workflows
- Utilize existing and potential accounting IT systems to facilitate processes and maintain records
- Document and update key processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 3 to 5 years of public accounting or internal accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work and think independently, but also a team player with strong communication skills
- CPA preferred
- Experience with Sage Intacct or a general ledger software is a plus
- Strong Microsoft Office (especially Excel) skills
- Experience in the SaaS industry

As a result, compensation may vary within and across similar roles and positions. Please note that the salary range information below is a good faith estimate for this position and actual compensation for any individual may fall outside this range if warranted by the circumstances applicable to that individual. If we identify a role that would be suitable for a broader range of skills and experience such that we would consider hiring at multiple levels then the range listed below may reflect that breadth.
The salary range estimate for this position is $100,000 – $120,000.
The actual compensation will be at Octus’ sole discretion and will be determined by the aforementioned and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for an additional annual discretionary bonus.
