Who we are looking for

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the Company's Accounting functions. The position requires a highly motivated, "roll-up your sleeves" professional. We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for supporting the month-end close process, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills with a particular emphasis on revenue recognition and a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement

What you get to do

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis

Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with the preparation of external financial reports and audit schedules

Revenue Recognition (Key Focus Area)

  • Apply revenue recognition principles in accordance with ASC 606 and company policies
  • Review customer contracts and purchase orders to determine proper revenue recognition treatment
  • Prepare revenue-related journal entries and maintain accurate revenue schedules

Reconcile revenue accounts and investigate discrepancies

  • Support the billing process and ensure revenue is recognized in the appropriate period
  • Collaborate with Operations and Sales teams to ensure proper revenue recognition for manufacturing contracts and projects

Analysis & Process Improvement

  • Perform account analysis and investigate unusual transactions or variances
Utilize AI to automate and gain efficiencies

Assist in the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures

Support special projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed

Compliance & Controls

Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal control procedures

Support internal and external audit requirements

Maintain organized and complete documentation to support financial transactions

Collaboration
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Operations, Sales, and Procurement
  • Communicate effectively with leadership regarding financial results and issues
  • Participate in continuous improvement,
What you bring to the Team
  • Prior experience with manufacturing and/or Engineering Services is a plus
  • 4+ years of overall accounting experience
  • 4-year Undergraduate Degree, preferably in Accounting, Business or Finance
  • QuickBooks or ERP experience preferred, but not required

The hourly rate for this position is $28.20 - $42.46. This range represents the Company’s good faith estimate of the base compensation for this role at the time of posting.  Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location. In addition to hourly rate, this role may be eligible for annual incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives, subject to Company plans. The Company offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and other benefits
