About the Role

Abnormal AI is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior International Accountant specializing in International Accounting and Statutory Reporting. This critical role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity and compliance of our global financial statements and reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical accounting background, a keen eye for detail and the ability to navigate complex international accounting standards and local statutory regulations.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with month-, quarter- and year-end close processes for five international entities, ensuring timing and accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and local GAAP/IFRS
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations and intercompany eliminations for international subsidiaries
  • Assist with foreign currency transactions, revaluation and translation, ensuring proper accounting treatment and impact on the consolidated financial statements
  • Participate in the global consolidation process, ensuring accurate aggregation of financial data from international subsidiaries
  • Prepare detailed financial analysis, fluctuation explanations and management reports for international operations
  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements and related disclosures for international entities, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
  • Coordinate and support statutory audits to ensure timely completion and successful audit results
  • Lead the evaluation and adoption of new accounting pronouncements and statutory regulations, including assessing the impact on the consolidated financial statements
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of various local and regulatory filings
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure alignment with accounting standards and best practices
  • Perform various ad-hoc projects as needed
In this job, you will bring these skills:
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting, including relevant experience in technical accounting, international accounting and statutory reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or other relevant or related field or equivalent experience, CPA a plus
  • Indepth knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) 
  • Experience with multinational entities, intercompany transactions and financial consolidations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to details
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving, highly transactional, and data-driven role
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with a commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment
  • Proficiency with NetSuite preferred

Base salary range:
$106,300$125,050 USD
