As the Senior Accountant, you will support SeatGeek’s financial close, technical accounting and financial reporting processes. In this position, you will report directly to the Senior Manager, Accounting, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Director, Reporting and Compliance.

What you'll do
  • Assist with close management activities, including coordinating timelines across Accounting and other finance teams 
  • Support administration and optimization of the FloQast close management tool, including checklist & reconciliation oversight, user access, and process improvements
  • Own or support quarterly financial statement footnote preparation and tie-out procedures
  • Conduct quarterly related party transaction searches and documentation
  • Manage census reporting obligations, ensuring timely and accurate submission
  • Partner with external auditors to ensure completion of audit requests
  • Support management to complete special projects and ad-hoc reporting
  • Support month end close processes such as payroll & accruals
  • Assist with international bookkeeping and statutory compliance by managing day-to-day accounting operations, local ledger maintenance, and coordination with local employees and/or external accountants
  • Support monthly admissions tax reporting requirements
  • Support tax compliance efforts
  • Assist in the research, interpretation and implementation of new accounting standards
  • Assist in the contract review process to identify and evaluate accounting implications related to sponsorship assets, embedded leases, and other contractual elements
What you have
  • 5+ years of accounting experience spanning public accounting and industry roles with a strong focus on close processes
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, with an emphasis on revenue recognition, leases and goodwill and long-lived assets
  • Experience working with or supporting accounting system tools such as: NetSuite (ERP/general ledger), FloQast (close management), and Workiva (financial reporting & compliance)
  • Ability to prioritize and execute in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Collaborative and proactive communicator
  • Passion for process improvement and comfort with change

The salary range for this role is $82,000 - $119,000 USD. Actual compensation packages within that range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
