We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who is eager to become an expert in ERP systems, particularly Workday Financials. The Senior Accountant will manage core accounting activities, support budgeting and forecasting processes, optimize Workday functionality, and help ensure accurate, timely financial reporting across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Lead the month-end close process to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Maintain and analyze the general ledger and financial statements
  • Support audit activities by preparing schedules, providing documentation, and responding to inquiries
  • Support the annual budgeting process, including data collection, validation, and consolidation
  • Partner with department leaders to guide budget development and review spending trends
  • Prepare variance analyses and assist with periodic forecasting updates
  • Utilize Workday reporting and planning tools to improve budgeting accuracy and visibility
  • Serve as the Finance team’s subject matter expert for Workday
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize Workday modules
  • Train team members on Workday functionality and best practices

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience, public accounting preferred
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Workday Financials highly preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis, modeling)
  • Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning preferred
  • Experience in a fast-paced or high-growth environment
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving

  • Collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

LOCATION
  • NYC, hybrid schedule 2-3 days in office

COMPENSATION AND PERKS
  • $90,000-$115,000 base salary plus bonus. Salary commensurate with knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location
  • Summer Fridays (Leave at 2:00PM all Fridays from Memorial Day to Labor Day)
