ClickHouse is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join our global team.  We are looking for someone who is eager for the opportunity to build and refine our finance processes and infrastructure, particularly in support of revenue operations, finance tools/infrastructure implementation, and tax operations management — an accounting expert who doesn’t mind lending a helping hand across the organization in several areas of finance policy and process.

What You Will Be Working On:

Execute on critical finance deliverables and build out the associated processes to ensure repeatability and accuracy. Initial priorities will include:

Revenue Recognition Accounting

  • Build and operationalize revenue recognition processes; compliant with the ClickHouse ASC 606 Policy; to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with applicable accounting guidelines;
  • Analyze key customer contracts to proactively determine revenue recognition requirements and process;
  • Provide guidance on SKU creation, including tax classification, revenue recognition treatment;
  • Prepare and review complex journal entries and revenue account reconciliations as part of the monthly close cycle;
  • Monitor and optimize existing finance processes, working with internal teams and external vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance;
  • Aid and assist in the integration of revenue, receivable and billing activities for future acquisitions, with assistance from peers and Finance leadership.

Finance Data Warehouse Build

  • With assistance from external contractors, translate data requirements into logical data models, for ingesting Netsuite and other financial data sources into data visualization tools;
  • Define the user interfaces for managing the interaction between data repositories;
  • Ensure day to day data quality in data and analytic reporting, including audits for completeness and accuracy.

Tax Compliance

  • Interface closely with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate preparation of the following:
    • US federal and state income tax returns;
    • All international income tax returns inclusive of treaty tax returns;
    • Preparation of quarterly VAT and OSS returns.

This role is perfect for you if you consider yourself a creative person who pays close attention to detail while collaborating across teams. In addition, you are proud to possess the following soft skills:

  • Grit: you are resilient, with a sense of stick-to-it-ivenesss.
  • A Growth Mindset: buried inside of every challenge or change, you sense opportunity and a chance to seize the moment to try something new.
  • Curiosity: you aren’t afraid to ask questions, and consider yourself a lifelong learner.
  • Present & Accounted For: you enjoy engaging with others, and you express ownership over your work product and accountability to the process.

What You Bring Along:

  • CPA required
  • 5+ years experience in accounting, and 3+ years experience in revenue recognition, with preference for experience at cloud or infrastructure-based organizations
  • Proficient in Excel/G-Sheets and building dashboards/reporting for executive presentation
  • Deep knowledge of software accounting business standards and revenue recognition best practices
  • Experience working with Netsuite and Tableau preferred
