Our Finance team is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to play a key role in supporting our AP operations. This position partners closely with Finance, HR, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely payables processing while contributing to smooth day-to-day operations. This position will be based out of our Minneapolis, MN office and will initially start fully on-site, with a hybrid work model available upon completion of training.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, verify and process vendor invoices, using a Deltek Vantagepoint ERP.
  • Review invoices, provide GL coding for payments, route payments for approval.
  • Prepare and process check and ACH payment batches.
  • Review employee expense reports to ensure compliance and review GL coding for accuracy.
  • Download corporate credit card transactions and import into ERP system.
  • Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records.
  • Research and resolve invoicing discrepancies and issues.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable regulations.
  • Prepare annual 1099 forms.
  • Prepare sales and use tax returns.
  • Assist with month end close and analysis of AP balances.
  • Provide excellent client support for both internal and external clients. Communicate effectively with clear and professional communication.
  • Complete client compliance reporting.
  • Create and maintain AP process documentation.
  • Support audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Provide backup for fixed asset accounting, as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • An associate’s degree in accounting, or commensurate experience.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of successful, related experience.
  • Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000

Compensation is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, job location, internal equity, market analysis, and specific qualifications relevant to the role.
