Predominately remote position with a requirement to be in the NYC office every Wednesday.

Position Summary: The purpose of this job is to automate profitability and loss trends analyses, perform ISO rate impact analyses and conduct statewide rate filings for pricing adequacy and provide competitive pricing insights to enhance profitability. This role also integrates pricing tools and actuarial analyses by utilizing AI and visualization tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform and automate ratemaking process for state rate filings by using AI and advanced programming skills for commercial lines of business, including Commercial Property, General Liability, Workers Compensation and Commercial Auto.
  • Perform and automate industry and company profitability analyses as well as loss trends analyses.
  • Perform and automate ISO circular rate impact analysis for various states.
  • Integrate and transform actuarial results by using AI and data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI) to facilitate communications with senior management and underwriters.
  • Provide pricing strategy and market intelligence insight.
  • Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as requested.
QualificationsEducation and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience specialized in the actuarial field required.
  • Minimum 5 passed actuarial exams required and working toward completion of ACAS or FCAS.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL and Excel VBA required. Development experience utilizing these tools required as well.
  • Working knowledge of AI applications and PowerBI preferred.

The salary range for this role is $86,800 - $160,700. The listed annual salary range posted for this position is subject to change and may vary depending on performance, education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, demonstrated proficiency in the competencies required for the role and business needs.  Base pay is just one component of GNY’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
