Position Description

Assured Guaranty is seeking an experienced senior financial analyst to join the finance development team responsible for maintaining and enhancing our PeopleSoft Financials implementation. This role focuses on building, customizing, and supporting the PeopleSoft finance system, while aggressively leveraging AI technologies and tools to modernize the solution streamline testing, accelerate delivery and improve quality. The ideal candidate pairs strong PeopleSoft functional skills with demonstrable AI-driven productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implements and enhances software, including configuration, testing, and issue remediation of PeopleSoft Financials application, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable Treasury-Cash Management and Asset Management modules.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and optimization within PeopleSoft applications and leverages AI to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
  • Coordinates and executes testing and quality assurance activities of customizations, upgrades, and patches across multiple environments to ensure system stability.
  • Designs and develops nVision reports and SQL queries to facilitate reporting and application troubleshooting,
  • Leverages AI development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to accelerate engineering, testing, and documentation.
  • Integrates AI capabilities with enterprise systems and centralized AI platform services

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, information systems, engineering, or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years of experience developing and supporting PeopleSoft Financials applications, with hands-on expertise across the GL, AP, AM, and TR-CM modules.
  • Two to four years of accounting experience in general ledger and/ or accounts payable.
  • Proficient in developing nVision reports, PS Query and SQL; experience with PeopleSoft Test Framework and BI Publisher a plus.
  • Experience applying AI technologies to engineering or business problems 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with general-purpose programming (Python, JavaScript, or similar) a plus.
  • Exposure to agent-based systems, multi-step AI workflows, and context engineering a plus

Compensation

Annual base salary for the position is expected to be from $165,000 per year to $215,000 per year. The actual salary will depend on various factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience and credentials, salary expectations of applicable candidates, and other applicable market conditions. This position also provides applicable employee benefits, as well as eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus and long-term incentive awards.
