What

Data Driven Detroit (D3) is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Senior Analyst / Project Lead! This is a full-time, salaried position, with a starting salary of $60,000 per year. We offer a number of benefits, including:

  • A flexible 32-hour work week;
  • 4 weeks of paid time off per year;
  • Access to group health, dental, and vision insurance;
  • A 401(k) profit-sharing plan;
  • Paid contingency leaves (parental, caregiving, jury duty, etc.); and
  • A strong commitment to work-life balance.

This is primarily a remote position, with occasional attendance at in-person meetings or events.  A desk in the D3 office is available should the selected candidate wish to work partially or entirely in-person.

At D3, we’re dedicated to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy (including childbirth, lactation and related medical conditions), national origin, age, physical and mental disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information (including characteristics and testing), military and veteran status, and any other characteristic protected by law. We believe that diversity and inclusion among our teammates are critical to our success, and we seek to recruit, develop, and retain the most talented people from a diverse candidate pool. D3 does not conduct criminal background checks on prospective team members.

We expect this position to start in Summer 2026. Detroit residents and candidates who identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color are strongly encouraged to apply.

Why

At D3, we work every day to improve access to information in Metro Detroit. At the core of our work are large-scale data initiatives that are intended to level the playing field for our region’s nonprofits, providing them with high-quality data that they can use to accelerate the impact they are having on residents in Detroit and beyond.

We are seeking a mission-driven professional to provide direct support to our work on two initiatives: the Neighborhood Vitality Index, an effort to place resident voices at the center of neighborhood revitalization efforts in Detroit, and our work to support Hope Starts Here, an alliance seeking to improve outcomes for Detroit’s youngest children. This role encompasses both analytical research and strategic coordination with external partners to advance these initiatives, as well as other D3 projects as needed.

If you’re selected for this job, your primary responsibility will be to lead the day-to-day management of these larger-scale, multi-year projects, covering a variety of activities. You’ll join a fast-paced, dynamic working environment where ideas and suggestions are welcomed and critical thinking is encouraged. Your typical days will include regular collaboration with internal and external project stakeholders, analysis and research to support identified partner and stakeholder needs, coordination of tasks with D3’s internal workflow team, participating in outreach and engagement programs, and helping to produce data products that meaningfully improve the quality of life for residents across Detroit and our region.
