About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst to join our GC Wealth team. 

The Senior Analyst is a core member of the GC Wealth investment team, driving portfolio research and analysis across asset classes and leading client-facing investment reporting. This experienced professional works closely with Wealth Managers, and the GC Wealth Chief Investment Officer to shape investment strategy, execute trades, and deliver market and portfolio updates to clients and prospects, serving as a trusted resource for both clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of multi-asset portfolio management, custodial operations and an understanding of the tax and estate planning considerations that high net worth clients navigate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ongoing research and analysis of existing and potential portfolio holdings, spanning all asset classes and alternative investments
  • Oversee and execute on estate planning and tax strategies for high net worth clients
  • Generate asset allocation, performance, and comprehensive balance sheet reporting for clients
  • Collaborate with other Analysts, Senior Analysts, Wealth Managers and Relationship Managers to establish strategic direction for client ongoing investment portfolio management
  • Develop and refine dashboards and other analytics for internal and external review utilizing investment research and artificial intelligence tools
  • Manage equity and fixed income investments across accounts including management of cash positions and client liquidity and income needs
  • Providing regular market, economic, and portfolio updates to clients, prospects, and centers of influence
  • Oversee, mentor, and develop Analysts and other team members 
  • Collaborate with Chief Investment Officer to participate in strategic research and portfolio evaluation initiatives
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement using AI and activate introductions across the General Catalyst organization where appropriate
  • Oversee client meetings and advise on investment strategy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in investment management
  • CFA strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Strong quantitative and academic portfolio management knowledge
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver exceptional service
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills with a collaborative team approach
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills
