DUTIES:

• Lead and contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and business analysts to gather and refine requirements.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and architectural designs.
• Design and develop scalable, high-performance applications using technologies such as Angular, React, Kendo UI (Telerik Controls), Go, Java, Kafka, MongoDB, and Oracle.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices, primarily using Go.
• Develop rich, responsive user interfaces with Kendo UI and modern JavaScript frameworks. Coordinate with QA and UAT teams to ensure thorough testing and validation of applications.
• Conduct system testing, regression testing, and performance tuning to ensure optimal application performance.
• Analyze and modernize legacy systems to align with current business requirements and technology standards.
• Mentor junior developers, providing guidance on best practices, code reviews, and technical problem-solving.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
• Position reports to Centene headquarters at 7700 Forsyth Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63105 and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S.
• Telecommuting permitted 100% of the time.
• Up to 10% domestic travel is required to internal summit meetings that happens in Tampa or St Louis Centene office.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, and Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position, and 5 years of relevant work experience.
• In addition, experience with the following skills is required: 1) Experience working on full stack development using modern front-end and back-end technologies including Angular, React, Go, Java, and Kendo UI; 2) Experience conducting database design and development with both relational and NoSQL databases including Oracle and MongoDB; 3) Experience designing event-driven architecture and messaging systems, particularly with Apache Kafka; 4) Experience practicing Agile software development including collaboration with business stakeholders, QA/UAT teams, and mentoring of junior developers; 5) Experience with cloud platforms including Amazon Web Services (AWS); 6) Experience utilizing containerization and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes.

WORK HOURS:       Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week [8:00 am to 5:00 pm]

PAY RANGE:           $140,046.00 - $169,300.00 per year
