Senior Associate, Advanced Income Solutions Specialist

The Advanced Income Solutions Specialist delivers product knowledge and sales support, conducts training, and handles inquiries about New York Life's annuity offerings, requiring travel and collaboration with sales teams.
Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per week
Role Overview:
The Advanced Income Solutions Specialist - Retail Annuities (AIS) is responsible for delivering expert product knowledge and sales support to field agents and intermediary sales teams. This includes providing competitive analysis, assisting with large case reviews, and presenting New York Life's annuity solutions to internal and external sales partners.
What You'll Do:
• Serve as a subject matter expert on all New York Life annuity offerings, including Immediate and Deferred Income Annuities, Fixed Deferred Annuities, and Variable Annuities.
• Provide advisors and agents with competitive intelligence on NYL annuity products using resources such as Morningstar Annuity Intel, Beacon, and Wink Intel.
• Respond promptly to advisor and agent inquiries via phone and email, offering subject matter expertise and competitive product information.
• Support product consultants and internal/external wholesalers involved in annuity sales and distribution. This includes participating in joint calls and providing advanced income solutions expertise.
• Travel as needed with Agency Sales, TPD Wholesaling, and Relationship Management teams to represent annuity products.
• Oversee the large-case acceptance process, coordinating with actuarial pricing and compliance teams, and communicating outcomes to the sales team.
• Conduct annuity training sessions for business areas across the enterprise, including onboarding programs for new hires.
• Use in-house administrative systems for policy research and to support annuity sales tools.
• Assist with ad hoc requests from product, technology, pricing, and other business units to ensure smooth operations.
What You'll Bring:
The ideal candidate possesses comprehensive knowledge of annuity products and the broader retirement income industry. They should understand both product features/benefits and contractual policies. The candidate must be high-energy, adaptable, team-oriented, and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to travel nationwide is required in order to deliver formal presentations on annuity solutions to agents and advisors.
Required Qualifications:
• Series 6 or 7, 63 or 66, and Life & Health Insurance licenses
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Strong knowledge of annuity products and marketing experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in flexible team environments
• Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent writing, communication, and presentation abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce
• Strong knowledge of retirement income products and industry
Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $79,000-$113,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
