The Senior Associate - AI Product Manager will manage AI and data products, prioritize initiatives, and communicate product strategies while working in a hybrid Agile environment.

This role serves as a Product Owner within the AI & Data (AI&D) product management organization, accountable for defining functional and technical requirements, managing the product roadmap, and executing the backlog across AI and data initiatives. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams across data engineering, data governance, data science, analytics, and technology, as well as business stakeholders across New York Life.
The ideal candidate brings experience delivering AI, data, and analytics products ideally within financial services along with strong judgment, technical fluency, and the ability to drive results in a complex, regulated, and matrixed environment.

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. What You'll Do:
- Own the roadmap, backlog, and requirements for AI & Data products and foundational initiatives
- Translate business problems into clear product strategies, functional requirements, and user stories
- Partner with AI&D, technology, and business teams to deliver high-quality solutions in a scaled Agile environment
- Prioritize initiatives to maximize business value and alignment with enterprise strategy
- Serve as a key communicator and advocate for AI & Data products and capabilities across stakeholders
- Define success metrics and track outcomes including adoption, ROI, and business impact
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, or business-facing product development
- Experience delivering AI, data, or analytics products, including familiarity with LLMs, generative AI, and modern data platforms
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and lead Agile delivery processes
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in complex, regulated environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical and executive stakeholders
- Self-starter comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving initiatives to completion
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience delivering AI products end-to-end, from concept through production
- Familiarity with AI governance, model evaluation, A/B testing, and MLOps practices
- Experience in insurance, asset management, or wealth management
- Fluency with Agile ceremonies, Sprint planning and Project management tools(e.g., Jira, Confluence)
