About Company Ventures

Company Ventures is a first check venture firm. We provide founders daily access to a community of excellence, embedded in world class physical space, surrounded by the support of our investment team. We have witnessed this type of environment function as a massive accelerant towards success for hundreds of companies including Rogo, Fleet, Maven, TigerData, Tabs, Basic Capital, Beehiiv, Stepful and many others.

We are now investing out of our third fund, writing first checks into pre-seed and seed companies building data and application-layer AI businesses across healthcare, fintech, and business software. We also run Terrarium, our healthcare venture studio, incubating new companies from scratch alongside operator entrepreneurs-in-residence.

We're small and hands-on. Everyone sources, diligences, and gets close to founders.

The Opportunity

We're creating a new senior seat on the investment team: someone with real investing reps who wants to specialize at the frontier of AI.

You'll source, diligence, model, and help make investment decisions, with AI as your area of depth. You'll also bring real fluency to how the firm uses AI internally by contributing to and expanding upon the tools and workflows the team already runs.

You'll be embedded with the full investment team from day one, with a clear path toward Principal for the right person.

What You'll Do

Invest

  • Run point on deal analysis for all deals nearing investment committee consideration.

  • Initiate diligence for AI-native opportunities end to end: build financial models, stress-test scenarios across growth, margin, and compute-cost assumptions, and defend your view in partner meetings.

  • Pressure-test technical claims that a generalist investor is more likely to miss, and translate that technical read into how it actually changes the shape of a return.

  • Build the firm's broader point of view on where the AI stack is heading, and turn it into investment theses the partnership can act on with conviction.

Source

  • Source AI-native investment opportunities directly, and partner with our talent and community functions to make sure the best AI founders and technical operators are in our pipeline before anyone else's.

  • Represent Company Ventures at the technical communities, labs, and events where AI-native founders and operators spend their time.

  • Support portfolio companies thinking through their own AI build-vs-buy decisions and technical hiring.

Contribute

  • Engage daily as co-owner of our Residency program, attending all key events and driving the success of the program alongside the firm’s Associate in charge of day-to-day logistics and management.

  • Bring real, hands-on AI fluency to how the firm operates.

  • Be a credible, current voice in the room on what's actually possible with the latest models and agents.

Requirements
  • 3–5 years of investing or directly relevant analytical experience. Time as an analyst or associate at a bank, a private equity firm, or another venture firm, where you've built real financial models under real scrutiny.

  • Modeling Competency. Given a cap table, a growth curve, and a set of assumptions, you can build a model showing how a deal returns capital under different scenarios — and you know which assumptions actually matter.

  • Investment judgment. You can take a position on a deal in a partner meeting and defend it under genuine pushback.

  • AI-native. You use frontier models and coding agents daily and can contribute to internal tooling.

  • Excited to work in person out of our offices at 22 Vanderbilt.
