Reporting to the leadership of our Business Transformation division, you will join other consultants in this practice. Your primary focus will be assisting clients with hands-on Workiva GRC implementations, including setup, configuration, rollout, and ongoing support, all delivered in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner. While Workiva will be the core of your role, you may also have opportunities to support broader transformation efforts such as internal controls, compliance programs, and process improvements. In this role, you'll work closely with clients and have the opportunity to experience multiple aspects of operational transformation, compliance, and strategic advisory.
To be a good fit for our Workiva GRC Senior Associate role you will have:

  • 3+ years of experience in business transformation, external audit, risk advisory, or GRC consulting

  • Hands-on experience with Workiva GRC (implementation or ongoing use)

  • Strong understanding of risk management, internal controls, and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, COSO)

  • Keen attention to detail

  • A high sense of urgency, strong initiative, and the ability to multi-task

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • The desire to learn new technologies and practices to constantly improve the business of Embark and our clients

  • A proactive approach to constant improvement and problem solving

  • Communication skills that can effectively relay concepts and updates across all stakeholders from staff to executives

  • A drive to forge deep relationships both internally through a variety of culture initiatives and externally through industry-leading hospitality efforts
     

Added bonus if you have…

  • Familiarity with Workiva model language and structure

  • Experience with SQL or a similar language for data extraction, analysis, or reporting

  • Experience with SOX or internal audit readiness projects

  • ERP or system transformation experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)

  • Healthcare, Financial Services, SaaS, or Government Contracting experience

  • Exposure to enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks

  • Certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA
