Project Description: The product is a video analytics system based on AI and machine learning.
We are seeking a highly technical, proactive, and independent Senior Automation QA (Python) Engineer to join the Prime Team—an organizational enablement unit. In this role, you will lead the refactoring and modernization of the core test automation infrastructure for a complex, AI-powered video analytics ecosystem running on Linux microservices and PostgreSQL backend databases. You will work closely with lead developers and enable multiple cross-functional engineering squads to meet their quality standards and delivery timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Refactor and modernize the existing automation framework from legacy architecture to a modern, scalable structure
- Design and build robust automation test suites covering both Web UI and REST API levels
- Independently take ownership of framework tasks—from initial design and approval through execution
- Coordinate on-demand with cross-squad leaders to support automated testing across 3–5 feature squads
- Identify bottlenecks, proactively raise red flags, and resolve technical issues independently
Requirements:
- Python: 3–5+ years of strong core Python development experience in test automation framework creation/maintenance
- Web UI Automation: Strong hands-on expertise with Selenium
- API Testing: Demonstrated experience building test suites for REST APIs
Desirable:
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- General domain knowledge in DevOps practices
- Understanding of microservices architecture, Linux environments, and PostgreSQL databases
