About the role:

The AWS IAM Engineer is responsible for owning, implementing, and maintaining the overall AWS security posture ensuring alignment with industry compliance standards. This role focuses on hands-on use of native AWS security tools to implement and manage IAM policies, SCP’s, and security controls across multiple AWS account, regions, and AZ’s.


Responsibilities:

  • Establish, integrate and enforce IAM standards, policies, processes, and security controls that ensure secure, efficient, and auditable identity workflows, robust compliance, and resource protection
  • Deployment and implementation of IAM systems across hybrid environments, integrating on-premises infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and SaaS applications
  • Develop and lead the long-term IAM strategy aligned with business objectives, security frameworks, and industry best practices
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and technical teams, driving the adoption of secure, scalable, and automated identity solutions that safeguard critical assets


Qualifications/ Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • 5+ years in Identity and Access Management
  • Highly experienced professional with deep expertise in enterprise-scale identity frameworks, governance models, and security protocols, ITIL, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or similar preferred
  • Proven experience integrating IAM with AWS services (RDS Postgres, MSK, EKS, Transfer Family, S3)
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS IAM (roles, policies, federation), Terraform automation, and multi-account deployments
  • Experience in Zero Trust frameworks and identity-based security architectures

Salary Range:  150-165K plus bonus eligible
