About the Team and the Role
Join the growing eBay's Live Team as a Full Stack Software Engineer, where you'll be decisive at reducing the seller friction on our nascent platform. Our lively team is dedicated to crafting impactful projects that prioritize quality and efficiency, all within a supportive work/life balanced culture. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to shape and build technical solutions end to end while collaborating closely with our product managers.
What You Will Accomplish
  • Drive the development of product features from conception to deployment, ensuring efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers to refine features, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration, contributing to team success and eBay Live overall objectives.
  • Pursue continuous learning and growth opportunities, staying adaptable to new technologies and practices.
  • Foster an inclusive and innovative team environment, supporting diverse perspectives and ideas.
What You Will Bring:
  • Proficiency in Java development, with a keen interest or experience in Scala.
  • Expertise with Flink and Spark to build high performing data processing solutions.
  • Strong coding skills, with a passion for exploring diverse technologies to solve problems effectively.
  • A product-focused mindset, understanding the broader impact of technical decisions on user experience and business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, facilitating collaboration within the team and across departments.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive work culture, valuing diverse perspectives and ideas.

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$190,400 - $254,200

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
