What we are looking for
Accedo is looking for a full-time permanent Senior Software Engineer, Back-End in the Global Service Management team based in Hungary to provide expert development and project implementation skills for the E&L region. Your major responsibilities will include:
- You will play a key role in building and maintaining production applications and verify resolution
- Feature development, SDK updates and code enhancement, refactoring, and review
- Actively participate in Customer discussions, requirements analysis and testing support.
Deep Technical Expertise
- Expert-level proficiency in Node.js (event loop, streams, performance tuning)
- Strong command of TypeScript and scalable project structure
- Experience with frameworks like NestJS / Express
- Designing and maintaining robust REST and/or GraphQL APIs
Architecture & System Design
- Proven experience designing scalable, distributed systems
- Strong understanding of microservices and message queues
- Experience with caching strategies (Redis), rate limiting, and performance optimization
- API versioning, backward compatibility, and long-term maintainability mindset
- Applying clean architecture, TDD, and design patterns where appropriate
Cloud & DevOps
- Hands-on experience with AWS/Google Cloud/Azure
- CI/CD pipeline design and optimization
- Observability: logging, tracing, metrics (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
- Designing cloud-native solutions (serverless, containers, Kubernetes) is a plus
- Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus
Leadership & Ownership
- Leading technical design discussions and architecture decisions
- Mentoring engineers and performing high-quality code reviews
- Translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Strong ownership mindset and accountability for production systems
Soft Skills
- Excellent English communication skills both verbal and written, fluency in additional language(s) would be hugely advantageous
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related discipline(s)
- At least 5 years of professional experiences developing applications in multiple platforms
