💙 About Bounce…

Bounce is building cloud storage for the physical world, starting with the largest global luggage storage network in existence. Bounce's marketplace connects travelers with 30,000+ small business locations worldwide for hyper-local short-term baggage storage. With more locations globally than Burger King, and more locations in New York City than Starbucks, Bounce has served 3M+ users, stored 10M+ bags, and paid over $10M to small businesses.

To achieve this, Bounce is a fast-paced and scrappy team. We believe experimentation fuels innovation, so we move quickly, testing new ideas and adapting in real time. If you're ready to make an impact in a high-energy, close-knit, and collaborative environment, Bounce is the place where you can move fast, think big, and shape the future of travel. Bounce was named the Inc5000's fastest-growing travel company in the USA in 2024 and is proudly backed by leading Silicon Valley investors, including Andreessen Horowitz, General Catalyst, and Sapphire.

About the role…

We're looking for a seasoned Brand Designer to join our design team a couple of days a week, on a freelance basis. This isn't pure execution—you'll work closely with our team on both the craft and the thinking, helping elevate Bounce's brand across every surface it lives on: digital, print, and in the physical world of our stores.

You'll help set the quality bar. Some weeks that means rolling up your sleeves on a specific digital or print project; others it means shaping how our brand shows up at scale, building the systems that let the rest of the team move faster, and giving direction that levels up our more junior designers. You'll bring taste, a strong point of view, and the range to move between strategy and pixels without missing a beat.

This is an ideal role for a seasoned brand designer who wants high-impact, flexible work with a fast-moving team, without a full-time commitment.

What You'll Do

Brand & Craft

  • Execute digital and print projects end-to-end, from concept through polished, production-ready output

  • Elevate Bounce's brand assets across digital platforms, offline, and in our physical stores

  • Hold visual consistency and brand integrity across every touchpoint

Strategy & Systems

  • Partner with the team on brand strategy—how Bounce looks, feels, and shows up as we scale

  • Develop scalable visual identity systems, toolkits, and templates that help the whole team work faster and stay on-brand

  • Explore new tools and methods (including AI) and help define how they fit our creative process

Collaboration & Craft Leadership

  • Help raise the quality bar for the design team through your own work and your feedback

  • Give creative direction and mentorship that helps more junior designers grow

  • Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and ops to turn business goals into strong design outcomes

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years in brand/creative design, in-house or at an agency

  • A standout portfolio showing command of typography, layout, color, and systems thinking, across both digital and physical work

  • Proven ability to shape brand strategy, not just execute against a brief

  • Experience setting the craft bar on a team and mentoring or directing other designers

  • Fluency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite; motion or illustration a plus

  • A proactive, self-starting mindset—you bring ideas, prioritize well, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Availability for ~2 days/week with overlap with our Lisbon team (10am–6pm WET)

How to apply

Please include a portfolio link with your application. We'll be looking for range across digital and physical work, strength in typography, layout, and color, and evidence you can translate brand strategy into work that ships.
