Ciklum is looking for a Senior Payment Business/System Analyst to join our team full-time the US.

About the role:
A Senior Payment Business/System Analyst is one of the key roles within the Program. The aim of which is consolidation of multiple payment gateways into one target gateway platform. Strong USA Payments domain expertise and hands-on experience with TSYS card acquiring platforms is mandatory for the candidate in this role. The candidate will work closely with Business Stakeholders, Solution Architects, Data Engineers, Development, Migration and QA Teams. Hands-on experience with payment platform migrations, the SAFe environment, and working at the Program level is highly preferable.
Responsibilities:
- Deep and wide knowledge of the USA Payment landscape
- Payment processor background
- Strong knowledge of the TSYS Acquiring platforms (such as Saratoga, Sierra, Summit); TSYS BETs and TSYS PPM
- Knowledge of TSYS EIS 1080 (Authorization) and EIS 1081 (Settlement & Clearing).
- Understanding of the card scheme rules, transactions (such as tipping, surcharges, split billing, DCC / FX at POS); Terminal vendor protocols Verifone, Ingenico etc
- Understanding of card authorization, clearing, settlement, chargebacks, and reconciliation
- Experience with tokenization and digital wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay
- Experience working with Visa/Mastercard mandates and compliance changes
- Experience with payment fraud, risk, or regulatory initiatives
- Strong experience with data mapping and migration of complex platforms
- SQL knowledge for data validation and analysis
- Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, non-functional and transition requirements through business and technical stakeholder discussions, workshops and reverse engineering
- Create and maintain BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and data process flows
- Create documentation enabling the technical teams: Solution Architecture, Development, Data and Migration teams
- Work closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Developers, Data and Migration Engineers, QA, and business teams throughout the SDLC
- Provide functional expertise across the US Payment landscape, focusing on the gateway technical processing rather than card products and e2e payments for the customer's
- Provide expertise with TSYS/card processing platforms and understand processor integrations and downstream systems
- Analyze change requests, perform impact analysis, and identify and manage dependencies across streams
- Manage requirements at the Program level
- Conduct data analysis, data mapping, and scenario planning for the migration
- Support migration and UAT planning, test case reviews, defect triage, and production releases
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure requirements are completely covered through functional and integration testing
- Define and document non-functional requirements in collaboration with the Solution Architects and the QA team
- Work with APIs, data flows, interfaces, and system integrations to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Actively plan and drive SAFe ceremonies including backlog refinement, PI and sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives
- Maintain requirements traceability from business requirements through development, testing, and migration completion
- Support investigation and resolution of production issues and business queries
- Work with payment networks and industry standards, including Visa, Mastercard, and relevant regulatory/compliance requirements
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst
- Deep expertise in the USA Payments domain, including regulatory compliance (such as ACH, PCI, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with TSYS card acquiring platforms
- Technical background: SQL, API, system integrations, data flows, data analysis and mapping
- Basic understanding of architecture principles
- Experience with requirements elicitation and documentation, creation of BRD, FRD, user stories, acceptance criteria, process and data flows at the appropriate technical level
- Experience with UAT, integration testing, defect management, and release support
- Strong proven experience leveraging AI throughout the SDLC and BA/SA workflows, quickly adapting to the wide variety of AI tools
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum/SAFe environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills
- Experience with Jira and Confluence, Azure DevOps
- Ability to maintain at least six (6) hours of daily working-hour overlap with North American business hours (approximately 09:00–17:00 across the US Eastern to Pacific time zones)
