Role Overview:

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by acquiring and developing strategic client relationships in the cross-border payments and FX space. You will leverage your deep understanding of foreign exchange markets, payment solutions, and client needs to deliver tailored solutions that enhance customer success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Sales:
    • Identify, target, and acquire new clients in key sectors (e.g., financial institutions, corporates, e-commerce, and B2B platforms).
    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers and stakeholders.
    • Act as a trusted advisor on FX risk management and cross-border payment strategies.
  • Solution Expertise:
    • Provide consultative selling of Convera’s FX and payment solutions, including hedging strategies, spot and forward contracts, and payment automation tools.
    • Stay informed on market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to position Convera as a thought leader.
  • Collaboration & Leadership:
    • Work closely with internal teams (Product, Compliance, Operations) to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.
    • Mentor junior team members and contribute to best practices in business development.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience:
    • 7+ years in business development or sales within cross-border payments, FX, or financial services.
    • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets in a B2B environment.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of FX markets, hedging instruments, and international payment processes.
    • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in global payments and financial compliance.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver innovative solutions.

Pay Transparency Statement

Convera is committed to pay transparency and equity in accordance with applicable U.S. state and local laws. For this position, the expected base salary range is $111,300.00 - $177,600.00 per year, depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, and geographic location. We use a tiered geographic pay system to ensure fairness across regions. Candidates in high-cost areas may receive higher offers within the posted range.
