Meet the Moment with Alteryx

We're living through a once-in-a-generation shift in how work gets done. Data, automation, and AI are quickly becoming the center of every business decision - and Alteryx is leading the transformation.

You'll be working on the challenges that sit at the heart of modern business. No matter your role, the work you do will help organizations move faster, see more clearly, and tackle questions that used to feel impossible.

If you're ready to meet the moment with innovation, curiosity, and excellence, there's a place for you here.

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) that partners with business owners to shape the systems roadmap and solution requirements to drive the optimization of our Marketing SaaS ecosystem and Salesforce lead-to-opportunity process.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between stakeholders across multiple business functions and engineering/IT teams. You will own requirement gathering, business process mapping, data architecture alignment, and solution design across the lead-to-opportunity lifecycle. The ideal candidate understands both the strategic goals of modern demand generation and the underlying technical architecture of SFDC, marketing automation platforms, and revenue attribution models.

Key Responsibilities

MarTech & SFDC Architecture

  • Own and optimize the Lead-to-Opportunity end-to-end flow across Salesforce Sales Cloud, Marketo, and integrated systems.

  • Analyze, document, and translate business processes into system behavior for lead routing, lead scoring, campaign attribution, qualification rules (MQL to SQL), and opportunity creation.

  • Partner with Demand Generation and Marketing Operations to configure and scale campaign tracking, API integrations, and third-party vendor connections.

Requirements Gathering & Process Optimization

  • Lead discovery sessions with Marketing, Business Development (BDRs/SDRs), and Sales Leadership to capture business goals, pain points, and technical requirements.

  • Translate complex business needs into detailed technical requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and process flow diagrams.

  • Identify bottleneck areas in the buyer journey (e.g., lead drop-off, slow response times, sync errors) and design system enhancements to increase velocity and conversion rates.

Technical Execution & Delivery

  • Collaborate closely with Salesforce Developers, Enterprise Architects, and Systems Engineers to configure custom objects, flows, validation rules, and integration pipelines.

  • Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT), script test scenarios, manage bugs/enhancements, and manage change control processes for new deployments.

  • Manage data integrity within SFDC and MarTech systems, ensuring deduplication, enrichment, GDPR/CCPA compliance, and proper taxonomy.

Analytics & Stakeholder Alignment

  • Partner with Analytics teams to ensure correct setup of pipeline attribution models.

  • Create documentation, training materials, and release notes for business users to ensure high adoption of new tools and processes.

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience: 3–5+ years as a Business Systems Analyst with a dedicated focus on Salesforce and MarTech stacks.

  • SFDC Expertise: Deep hands-on knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud (Lead, Contact, Account, Opportunity, Campaign objects) and standard workflow automation (Flow Builder, Process Builder).

  • MarTech: Direct experience working with enterprise Marketing Automation Platforms (Marketo, Pardot/Account Engagement, HubSpot, or Eloqua) and their native/API sync mechanics with SFDC.

  • Lifecycle Understanding: Proven track record of designing or managing Lead-to-Opportunity (or Lead-to-Cash) lifecycles, including MQL/SQL definitions, SLA tracking, and opportunity attribution.

  • SDLC / Methodology: Strong grasp of Agile/Scrum delivery processes, including user story writing, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and UAT execution.

Technical & Soft Skills
  • Technical Concepts: Understanding of APIs/REST integrations, webhooks, cookie tracking, URL parameters (UTMs), and relational database structures.

  • Data & Analytics: Salesforce Reporting, and data visualization platforms.

  • Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate technical constraints to business leaders and translate business requests into developer-ready specifications.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Business Analyst credentials.
