About the Role
- Lead Cloud Strategy & Design: Lead the evolution of Redfin's cloud strategy by architecting scalable, elegant solutions that balance immediate business needs with long-term infrastructure investments and "big picture" technical health.
- Solve Complex Technical Problems: Design and implement high-quality, reliable cloud networking solutions, proactively managing technical ambiguity and risks to ensure high performance across the organization.
- Drive Cross-Team Consensus: Partner with SEO, Platform, and Infosec teams to resolve cross-team dependencies and drive consensus on infrastructure security, resolving obstacles to ensure successful project completion.
- Promote Technical Excellence & Mentorship: Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code while mentoring peers through insightful code reviews and identifying process improvements to make the entire team more efficient.
- Deliver Measurable Impact: Define and track key engineering metrics for cloud services, leveraging your deep systems knowledge to drive measurable improvements in scaling, performance, and cost-efficiency.
About You
- You have 5+ years of hands-on cloud platform management experience, preferably in AWS including: Cloud Networking: CloudFront, API Gateway, VPC, WAF, Shield, Route53, VPC Lattice, AWS Client VPN.
- Experience with cloud platform observability tooling such as Datadog and CloudWatch.
- You have 2+ years of experience in establishing, managing, and scaling a multi-account or multi-project cloud based environment.
- You have a deep passion for Infrastructure as Code and can leverage tools such as Terraform, Spacelift, Terraform Cloud, Atlantis or CloudFormation.
- You have 3+ years of experience with a scripting language such as javascript, Python or node.
