The Senior Client Portfolio Manager will engage with clients, customize portfolios, analyze data using Python, and collaborate with teams to enhance the SMA platform.
About Us
We are building the next generation of tax-advantaged separately managed accounts (SMAs) — a platform that fuses institutional-grade quantitative research, scalable technology, and hands-on client expertise. Our mission is to deliver hyper-personalized, tax-aware portfolios at scale.
We're not looking for a “relationship manager.” We’re looking for an investment athlete who can sit at the intersection of clients, quants, and code — people who are fluent in markets, comfortable in Python, and credible in front of sophisticated allocators.
The Role
As a Senior Client Portfolio Manager (CPM), you’ll translate quantitative insights into client outcomes and answers. You’ll partner with portfolio managers, engineers, and customer success representatives, to customize portfolios, explain performance and risk, and help scale a platform that is redefining wealth management. This is a high-visibility role where you’ll be trusted to:
- Engage directly with clients/advisors as an ambassador of the SMA platform.
- Interpret portfolio data — exposures, tax trades, drift, risk — and explain in a way clients can act on.
- Run analyses in Python (pull time series, diagnose factor exposures, validate tax trades, build quick diagnostic dashboards).
- Collaborate with research and engineering teams to translate client needs into features and workflow improvements.
- Proactively monitor accounts for opportunities: tax-loss harvesting, transitions, customization, compliance with restrictions.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years experience in asset management, wealth management, or investment consulting with direct client responsibility.
- Strong command of equity markets, factor risk, and tax-aware investing.
- Hands-on Python skills — you don’t need to be an engineer, but you must be able to slice data, run analyses, and speak the same language as quants and developers.
- Ability to context-switch between technical deep dives and client-ready narratives.
- Proven record of earning trust with sophisticated clients/advisors.
- CFA charterholder, or equivalent advanced credential preferred.
Why Join
- Impact: Help define the future of tax-aware SMAs.
- Exposure: Work alongside leading investment, quant, and fintech professionals.
- Growth: Rapid career trajectory in a high-visibility, high-growth business.
- Culture: Entrepreneurial, collaborative, and relentlessly client-focused.
